So Beta's computer decided to roll over and die, and then both Alpha and Beta got sick. So now it is up to me to catch everyone up!
So... Christmas! I got loads of stuff, and Beta got loads of stuff (mostly for me).
Also got some cookies, and a new water bowl, and a little thing that goes on my collar so I glow at night. Beta got warm fluffy pants (for walking moi), some warm fluffy socks (for walking yours truly) and some special ear muffs (for walking... you get the picture).
Beta also got this excellent picture for Christmas. It was made from the picture I use for my profile. Can you see the resemblance?
We had to take a long drive to get to Christmas. The car ride was boring, but when we got there, we got to meet a whole bunch of people! I was really trying my hardest to be on my best behaviour, but every once in a while I got excited and would jump up (remembered to be good around the kids, though).
Beta's uncle was funny; whenever I would jump on him, he'd just start going 'Off. Off. Off. Off.' over and over, not even giving me time to get off before he said it again! The kids were doing the same thing: 'Sit. Sit. Sit.'. But they gave me treats, so it's all good.
I got to unwrap my marrow bone all by myself (it smelled so much that once I got it out, I started chewing on the paper 'cause it smelled good too!)
Alpha took me to play class this weekend on his own, because Beta had to take another long drive to go see her grandmother. I thought it would be nice to meet her, but play class is fun too! The Frenchie chewed on my ears again.
I went for my hike on Sunday with Beta (Alpha had to work. Working sounds like fun. When Beta goes to work, she says that she's going out hunting for dinner; I like chasing things). We were walking through the woods, when all of a sudden... pow! Pack of whippets! They were all wearing bright orange coats, and then more coats underneath that (whippets get cold in the winter). They said hello, and we said hello, and then we both went on with our respective walks. We had to cross a couple bridges on this path, but they weren't as treacherous as on our last hike; my feet didn't fall in between the planks on these ones (sometimes I wish I were part German Shepherd like so many people think; my paws would be bigger and wouldn't fall through tiny holes).
After hike, of course, nap.
And then, Rally-O!
This was our last class, so we had to do our test. I was planning on doing good, but then there was something really good-smelling on the floor after the first couple of stations that I just had to check out. But Beta was on the ball, and we went back to the start to redo that part. That reminded me to pay attention, so I was able to do the rest of the course just as good as I can.
Which is apparently really good, because we got Top Dog in the class! Now, this wasn't a real Rally-O competition (trainer-lady says it doesn't count towards any titles or anything), but we got a 197 out of 200 (if you know about Rally-O, then you'll know that we lost the three marks for retrying when I got distracted... and none from the rest of the course. I mean, I know I'm awesome, but I think trainer-lady likes me: she may be biased). I got a cool little bandana that Beta helped me tie (opposable thumbs, man; can't live with 'em...), and a couple rawhides.
Trainer-lady has high hopes for me in agility class. And from everything I've heard, it should be a lot of fun!
Oh, so we now officially own a yard! But we're still not living there yet. So I can't make any comments yet. Just thought I'd share the good news.
